Ali Lehman
SENIOR UX COPYWRITER
About
Me
My experience as a writer, editor and leader spans nearly 20 years.
I’m known for my attention to detail, generosity as a team player, and (attempts at) bringing humor to the day-to-day.
After getting my start in SEO, I transitioned to helping small businesses craft the voice for their brand. I helped build the content strategy for 2 veterinary clinics and a pet food company in Nashville, TN.
Looking to expand my skills, I started freelancing for various agencies, including Wunderman Thompson. While I was there, I dove head first into healthcare copywriting for companies like Blue Cross Blue Shield and Fresenius.
I started at UnitedHealthcare in 2022 as a Senior Copywriter for Marketing and Sales Enablement. I worked on dozens of high profile campaigns — across email, out-of-home, direct mail and social channels — garnering awards for some of my work. During this time, I became a subject matter expert (SME) on women’s health, consulting others on best practices for voice and tone when marketing women’s health content. I also lead an AI pilot program, teaching writers how to implement AI tools and working with developers to create custom apps for our team.
In 2025, I made the switch to strictly digital content as a Senior Content Strategist and UX Writer for uhc.com. I’ve grown my skills to include A/B testing and Figma, and returned to my roots in SEO. Continuing my role as a SME on women’s health, I’m working closely with senior leadership to optimize the women’s health content on uhc.com and craft a strategy for marketing women’s health within the enterprise (UHC, UHG and Optum).
Going forward, I’m ready to be a manager and help others grow their skills using the tools I’ve learned throughout my career.

Outside of work, I volunteer with Music City Prep Clinic, helping local community members gain access to healthcare.
My husband, daughter and I have 2 rescue dogs, a growing number of chickens and too many houseplants to count (when I’m on video, you can see the giant monstera taking over my office). If I’m not tending to plants — inside or in my garden — I’m catching up on RuPaul’s Drag Race and the Real Housewives of any city.
